The Ringwald Theatre is thrilled to announce the 6th installment of its wildly popular Gay Play Series (GPS) and this year things are getting a remix as The Ringwald replaces its traditional One Act Play festival with a collection of mash-ups which will intertwine a variety of movies and music artists to create The Ringwald's Big Gay Mash-Up (for example:  My Fair Lady Gaga). The festival will also include a screening of gay TV classics.

This year the program will run over two consecutive weekends that will feature a one-time only event, music shows and, at the centerpiece, performances of 11 new, one act LGBT plays.

Richard Baird returns to San Diego to direct the largest Diversionary Theatre production to date - 15 fantastic actors playing numerous roles in an intense account of the struggle between passion and responsibility. Baird had this to say about the production: 'It is wonderful to return home to San Diego to fulfill a dream to stage this play with Diversionary Theatre. Making Porn, a comedy by Ronnie Larsen, chronicles the life of Jack Hawk, a straight, out-of-work actor hired by a gay porn producer to star in his upcoming movie. Joining Jack in the filming are a jaded porn star and an industry newcomer. Complications arise when Jack's wife finds out about her husband's new career. The original production ran Off-Broadway for over 500 performances and has toured throughout the United States.
