The monthly hit series 'The Metropolitan Room Presents Broadway on 22nd Street' is back in October with Arbender Robinson (HAIR, THE BOOK OF MORMON, THE LITTLE MERMAID), Cailan Rose (HAIR) and Robert Creighton (CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, CHICAGO, ANYTHING GOES).

Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (PARADE, 13, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD) and Tony Award-winning stage and screen star Anika Noni Rose (DREAMGIRLS) and The Caucasian Rhythm Kings begin a special three-night concert engagement tonight at the Henry Street Settlement - Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand at Pitt). The concerts will also be filmed for future broadcast on PBS.

Composer Jason Robert Brown announced that after last year's successful run at Birdland and a sold-out stint in London, he and Anika Noni Rose are coming back to New York with their show, The Caucasian Rhythm Brass Band, eight pieces strong. The Playwrights' Center of Minneapolis named the recipients of the 2010-11 McKnight National Residency and Commission (Taylor Mac), McKnight Advancement Grants (Mat Smart and Deborah Stein), and McKnight Theater Artist Fellowships (Annie Enneking, Masanari Kawahara, and Robert Rosen) on June 7, 2010. The three programs provide nearly $150,000 in grants and artistic support funds and are underwritten by the Minneapolis-based McKnight Foundation.

Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose will join acclaimed composer Jason Robert Brown for four performances at Birdland in March. The pair will host shows at the club on March 14th, 16th, 17th, and 18th, and will sing a combination of both new and old songs from JRB's repertoire.
