Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's Producing Artistic Director Patrick Mulcahy announced today the 2020 summer season.

The infinite beauty of storytelling consumes AN ILIAD, a provocative adaptation of Homer's classic coming to Arden Theatre Company. The Trojan War is placed beside our modern day, presenting the allure of wartime heroism and the inevitable cost of battle that overshadows all history. Mary Tuomanen returns to the Arden and will bring this epic event to the Bob & Selma Horan Studio Theatre from November 13 through December 15, 2019. Very limited tickets are available for reviewing press on either November 19 or November 20 at 7:30PM.

This 100-minute play runs for six performances beginning September 7th through September 22nd at Millésimé (a beautiful contemporary design showroom) in Old City.

Don't let Greek history and mythology intimidate you. This excellent play has a tour de force performance by Rachel Christopher, who just might be the world's greatest but underdiscovered actress.

Trinity Rep will run a limited-engagement of An Iliad by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare, based on Homer's The Iliad and translated by Robert Fagles.

Homer and the primal roots of oral tradition are invoked in a modern retelling of the oldest and deadliest tale of all time, The Iliad. Drawing on Robert Fagles' acclaimed translation of the epic poem, Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare's award-winning play, An Iliad, charges a lone Poet to sing the song of the deadly force of humanity doomed to repeat itself throughout the ages.

Main Street Theater (MST) announces its 43rd Season which includes eight productions on the MainStage and seven at its Theater for Youth for 2018-2019.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) Artistic Director Laura Kepley announced the 2018-2019 Season today to a standing-room-only gathering in the Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square. "This season will inspire and invigorate our loyal patron base and introduce new audiences to what CPH does best -- tell stories that matter in productions that are imaginative, thrilling, and entertaining," said Kepley.

Main Street Theater (MST) continues its partnership with Prague Shakespeare Company (PSC) in presenting PSC's An Iliad by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare, based on Homer's Iliad, translated by Robert Fagles, and directed by Main Street Theater Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden and Prague Shakespeare Company Artistic Director Guy Roberts. MST and PSC have been partners and collaborators since 2012. There will be a post-show discussion with Udden and Roberts on Sunday, January 7.
