The world premiere production of Some Brighter Distance continues the 2015-2016 season at City Theatre on the Mainstage, January 23 - February 14, 2016. The play is written by Keith Reddin and directed by City Theatre Artistic Director Tracy Brigden.

On Monday evening, January 11, 2016, Steven Maglio kicks off the Friars Club Sinatra at 100 show, with a popular Sinatra signature song, the title of which is being kept a secret. The only hint Steven Maglio will give is that it's one of the songs in his regular Saturday night show at New York City's Carnegie Club.

Watching Shakespeare's play come to life on the sandy shores of Chatham, Massachusetts is a rather interest thing to behold. The characters have remained the same: Theseus and Hippolyta still plan on being wed, Helena entreats after the love and affection of the unwilling Demetrius, who instead views the fair Hermia as his darling one - a love interest shared with the doting Lysander, whom Hermia finds dear. The fairy King and Queen, in addition to those that serve them, still wreak havoc on the lives of each other as well as on the unsuspecting humans below, stealing from them their gift of free will and forcing them to see what they would not have otherwise seen. A group of men anticipating their performance before Theseus and his new bride at their wedding run into trouble when their lead is given an animal's head. Confusion and inexplicable events still run rampant, and this story remains as entertaining and riveting as ever - this is without a doubt true.

Last night Barrington Stage Company presented the World Premiere of Engagements by Lucy Teitler and BroadwayWorld was there. Directed by Louisa Proske (BSC debut), Engagements stars (in their BSC debuts) Amanda Quaid (Irish Rep's The Weir) as Lauren, Kate Loprest (First Date) as Allison, Adam Gerber (George Street Playhouse The Whipping Man) as Ryan, Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening) as Catherine, and Robert David Grant (Yale Rep Hamlet) as Mark.

LOVE NEVER DIES, which has since successfully played in Australia (where it was filmed and released on DVD), Denmark and Japan, and will tour in the US in 2017, is now coming to the stage in Germany. Following the celebrated success of the return of Phantom of The Opera last year, Stage Entertainment will produce the fascinating sequel this fall. The show will begin preview at the Stage Operettenhaus in in Hamburg on October 8, with an official opening set for October 16.

Robert Davi the award-winning actor, screenwriter, director, producer and jazz vocalist joined Barry Manilow who is headlining this year's Independence Day celebration on the National Mall, performing July 4th with the National Symphony Orchestra.
