West Virginia Public Theatre continues its 25th Anniversary Summer Season by bringing back a cult-classic musical comedy thriller after fourteen years absence from the WVPT stage. Little Shop of Horrors runs from June 30th through July 5th in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre of the WVU Creative Arts Center. First appearing at WVPT in 1995, this audience favorite was written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken?the team behind such Disney favorites as Aladdin and The Little Mermaid?and tells the story of a nerdy florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood. The musical was based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy The Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Roger Corman.

The cuadrilla of an over-the-hill matador (Vincent D'Elia) comes to Martinique in search of a paying bull-fight. They stop (running out of gas) in front of an establishment run by the matador's old flame (Rita Rehn). Years ago, she was a teacher and because her 'girls' are carrying books on Latin, French, and math he assumes she still is. His son (Nicolas Davila) is sent to get gas the hard way - by earning it with a lady station owner. A car accident has the son in bed with the island's newest resident (Jennifer Evans). Pop thinks she's rich and wants damages, the son thinks she owns a gas station and wants gas, she is concussed.

Musicals Tonight presents Tovarich October 28 - November 9 McGinn/Cazale Theatre (2162 Broadway between 76th & 77th Streets).

The Columbia Stages production of The Wild Party has just announced the casting for the show, which runs April 18-22 at the Theatre at Riverside Church.

Casting has been determined for Ernest in Love, which will run March 20th--April 1st at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre.

A free staged reading of a new Mae West musical, It's Not What I Say... will be presented at the York Theatre, Tuesday, February 20th, at 7:30 P.M.
