The Algonquin Hotel has announced their 2010 Oak Room schedule, which will include a wide variety of cabaret performances. The new season will begin with Johnny Rodgers performing What A Wonderful World May 11-29. The show will feature his versions of 'What A Wonderful World,' 'Huggin' and Chalkin,' 'Too Marvelous For Words' and his own songs 'Home To Mendocino,' 'One More Moment' and 'The Best Of You In Me.'

Acclaimed jazz stylist Jane Scheckter will make her Metropolitan Room debut with her all new show, 'Play A Simple Melody - A Tribute to Irving Berlin,' with four shows only on Tuesday, Sept. 1, Wednesday, Sept. 2, Tuesday, Sept. 8 and Saturday, Sept 13. All shows are at 7:00 except Sept. 2 which is at 7:30. Tedd Firth will be musical director with Tom Hubbard on bass and Peter Grant on drums. West Side Story returned to Broadway in a new production directed by its two-time Tony Award winning librettist Arthur Laurents.
