Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, kicks off its 12th Season when it presents its 120th concert presentation with Shaw's 1893 comedy Mrs. Warren's Profession on Monday, January 16 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Westport Country Playhouse announces that due to ticket demand for its current production of 'What the Butler Saw,' an extra performance has been added on Sunday, September 11, at 3 p.m.

'What the Butler Saw,' a shameless comedy by Joe Orton, offering a little blackmail and a lot of sexual innuendo, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, now through September 10. Director is John Tillinger, who helmed a recent, critically acclaimed production of the show in Los Angeles, as well as earlier productions in London and New York. Mint Theater Company will present a one-night "Further Reading" of Waters of the Moon by N.C. Hunter on Monday August 15th (7pm) at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (home to Mint's current production, Hunter's A Day By The Sea, opening August 25).

Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, continued its 11th Season with George Bernard Shaw's GENEVA. Written and first produced in 1938, Geneva is a wildly satirical political comedy. In it, a German Jew arrives in Geneva demanding a summit meeting designed to contain the increasingly dangerous behavior of three dictators, Herr Battler, Signor Bombardone, and General Flanco (parodies of Hitler, Mussolini and Franco). The three are brought before the International Criminal Court of the League of Nations to justify their atrocities.

With today's news on the passing of playwright Peter Shaffer, The Acting Company will be dedicating their one night only staged reading of Lettice and Lovage on Monday, June 13 at 7 p.m. to his memory.  Angela Lansbury and Dana Ivey will head an all-star cast featuring Patricia Connolly and original Broadway cast member, Paxton Whitehead at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues.
