Bob Nederlander Jr. and Nederlander Worldwide Productions, LLC announced today their plan to bring Darknights and Daydreams (working title), a new play adapted by Michael Uslan from his inspiring memoir, The Boy Who Loved Batman, to Broadway during the 2022 / 2023 season.

 Due to popular demand, Signature Theatre extends Simply Sondheim, the first production in the Signature Features 2021 Season, for three weeks, until April 16 on Marquee TV.

We all remember back in the day (meaning before mid-March 2020) when we would gather in a theatre, wait for the house lights to dim and hear the first notes from a live orchestra played. Since that time, theatre companies have found some very inventive ways to present plays in the new medium of streaming pandemic theatre. Presenting musicals however are always more of a challenge because of the number of people allowed in a space at any one time due to COVID-19 restrictions. Signature Theatre has solved that problem and is now presenting Simply Sondheim the first in their five show Signature Features subscription series.

Today, Signature Theatre releases Simply Sondheim, the first production in the Signature Features 2021 Season. Starring 12 singers and an orchestra of 16, Simply Sondheim includes over 30 songs from the composer's canon, and was filmed over the course of three days in Signature's MAX Theatre with multiple safety protocols in place.

The two artists join Sarah Bockel (Carole King), Jacob Heimer (Barry Mann), James Clow (Don Kirshner) and Suzanne Grodner (Genie Klein). Beautiful - The Carole King Musical will return to St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on March 12, 2019 for a limited engagement through March 17, 2019.

Legion M, the world's first fan-owned entertainment company, is joining Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment for the upcoming thriller BAD SAMARITAN, starring David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Jessica Jones”, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and Robert Sheehan (Mortal Engines, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, “The Umbrella Academy”) and directed and produced by Devlin (Stargate, Independence Day, “Leverage”, “The Librarians”), which debuts nationwide April 27th.

Featuring Musical Direction by James Cunningham and Choreography by Parker Esse, The Pajama Game runs now through December 24 in the iconic in-the-round Fichandler Stage. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater presented the American Artist Award to Tony and Emmy Award-winning actor Hal Linden, who is currently performing in Arthur Miller's The Price in Arena Stage's Kogod Cradle. The award was presented last night, November 8, 2017, as part of the opening night celebration for the musical comedy The Pajama Game, directed by Alan Paul.
