Tony Award-nominees Penny Fuller (Applause, A New Brain, Dividing The Estate) and Sally Mayes (Closer Than Ever, She Loves Me) have joined the starry line-up for a Feinstein's/54Below's benefit concert for The Drama Book Shop. Also joining the roster is Ali Stroker, who recently made her debut in Deaf West's revival of Spring Awakening, and composer Nancy Ford (I'm Getting My Act Together...).

The Tony Award-winning Drama Book Shop has been helping theatre artists for 99 years. Now, it needs their help after a recent water pipe burst caused extensive damage to the shop and half of its inventory. For more information on the shop and its famed history, please visit www.dramabookshop.com.

Dancers Over 40's last event of 2015, the 7th Annual Legacy Awards presentation, was its most joyous. This holiday celebration and awards event was held last night, December 7th, at LIPS Restaurant, 227 East 56th Street. This year's event was hosted by Richard Skipper, with live entertainment by cabaret legend Barbara Minkus and Dames at Sea star Danny Gardner along with other surprise guests. The Drama Book Shop will present a reading of a new play by Steven Carl McCasland on Monday, November 16th at 1:30pm. The reading is free to the public but advanced reservations encouraged. They may be made by e-mailing bookshopreadings@gmail.com.

Featuring performances by Loni Ackerman, Jill O'Hara, Walter Willison, rare video footage of Layton shows, and a gaggle of gypsies to discuss Joe's Life and Legacy.

Dancers Over 40 honors prolific director/choreographer Joe Layton, who crossed all mediums to create memorable musicals, TV specials, concerts and much more, including Two by Two, Sail Away, Once Upon a Mattress, Sound of Music, No Strings, Dear World, George M!, and Barnum, just to name a few. DO40 members who have worked with Joe on multiple shows and will be panelists include Nicole Barth, James Dybas, Dorothy Frank Danner, Carolyn Kirsch, Sondra Lee, Lawrence Leritz, Patti Mariano, Lawrence Merritt and Mary Zahn.

Abingdon Theatre Company presents the Father Hamblin New Play One-Act Festival tonight, August 9 at 7:00PM. Three playwrights were commissioned to write on the themes of True Faith, True Commitment and/or True Friendship for the festival, and all of the plays will receive staged readings.
