Shakespeare & Company presents Critics Circle and Susan Smith Blackburn Award-winning playwright Lucy Kirkwood's timely play The Children, directed by James Warwick, back for his second season with the Company after last season's acclaimed Mothers and Sons.

For the first time the Royal Shakespeare Company will tour three productions in repertoire to six regional theatres, playing for two weeks in each venue. As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew and Measure for Measure will visit Salford in September 2019, and then Canterbury, Plymouth, Nottingham, Newcastle upon Tyne and Blackpool in early 2020. Performance dates at the end of the release.

The collaborative, cross-cast company is announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) productions of As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew and Measure for Measure, playing in a newly reconfigured Royal Shakespeare Theatre next summer. All three productions will then tour in repertoire for the first time to six regional theatres in 2019 and 2020. The actors will each appear in two of the three plays performed as part of the Summer 2019 repertoire. Design for all three productions is by Stephen Brimson Lewis, Director of Design for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Otherworld Theatre announced the lineup of its annual PARAGON Play Fest, the world's largest Science Fiction and Fantasy genre play festival. PARAGON Play Fest, now in its 4th year, is the largest Science Fiction and Fantasy play festival in the world; featuring 40 Science-Fiction and Fantasy plays performed over 2 days. Collaborating with hundreds of Theatre Artists, locally and internationally to increase exposure for an underserved theatre genre, PARAGON Play Fest has become an annual festival and a unique part of Chicago's diverse cultural landscape. Curated by Otherworld Theatre Company's Literary Manager Elliott Sowards and Otherworld's Artistic Director, Tiffany Keane Schaefer for the fourth year running. This year, PARAGON will produce Otherworld Theatre mainstage playwrights D. Matthew Beyer (last season's Down the Rocky Road and All the Way to Bedlam) and Elizabeth A.M. Keel (playwright of the upcoming Mainstage production, Corona). Beyer's time travel farce, Everything is Fine and Keel's play which centers on two messengers at the beginning of the world, Missives will be presented at PARAGON Fest.

This funny, powerful, and poignant journey with its twists and turns offers catharsis and understanding for those wise and brave enough to take it.  I strongly encourage doing so.

An annual event, 'Fresh Produce' will this year feature three plays under development from members of the Pear Playwrights Guild: 'Terms of Use' by Patrick Brennan, 'Dr. Rowan, the Demon, and Love' by Carol Wolf, and 'Confession' by Barry Slater. 'Fresh Produce' will offer one reading today evening, and two on Saturday afternoon. All readings are held at the Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View. Shakespeare & Company presents the New England Premiere of Morning After Grace written by Cary Crim, and directed by Regge Life who helmed last season's hit comedy God of Carnage. Morning After Grace is an unconventional new comedy tackling love, loss, and second chances. Performances run from May 24th - July 15th in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre.

For their third production this season, the Everyman company tackles Shakespeare's enduring tragedy based upon lies, jealously and power.

Directed by Gemma Bodinetz, winner of Best Director at the 2017 UK Theatre Awards, the production is the third in a series of four plays by the Everyman Company in 2018. Using the original script the Company will explore themes of love, power, jealousy and deception synonymous with the Shakespearean tragedy.

The award-winning Everyman Company open their second repertory season with a loud crack of a whip, as 14 actors travel to a brave new world in a major revival of Lerner & Loewe's Broadway musical Paint Your Wagon - a show not performed as a large-scale production since 1996.
