This Friday's (February 5) State of the ARTS, heard LIVE each week on WPKN-FM(89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut, will include special guests Angela Smith, Patricia Kalember and Erin McCracken.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of "Scotland Road," a mystery/thriller involving a woman who may be a survivor of the Titanic, on Monday, February 8, at 7 p.m.  Written by Jeffrey Hatcher, the play will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.

The New Group presents the Off-Broadway premiere of Philip Ridley's Mercury Fur, which launched the company's 2015-16 season last night, August 19, 2015 (previews began August 5). Warner Bros. Pictures' 'Run All Night,' starring Oscar nominees Liam Neeson and Ed Harris, as well as Joel Kinnaman, under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra, has received a release date of April 17, 2015, according to Deadline.

Based on Elizabeth Strout's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name and written by Emmy®-winner Jane Anderson (HBO's “The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom” and “Normal”), the miniseries will debut on HBO this winter.

The New Group continues its 2013-2014 season with the world premiere of Intimacy, a new play by Thomas Bradshaw. Directed by Scott Elliott, Intimacy features David Anzuelo, Austin Cauldwell, Ella Dershowitz, Laura Esterman, Daniel Gerroll, Dea Julien and Keith Randolph Smith. On Saturday night, BEHOLD: A Gala Performance, honoring 50 years of the Guthrie, took place on the theater's Wurtele Thrust Stage before a packed house. The performance featured a glittering array of contributors including actors and artists linked to all aspects of the Guthrie's past and its vision for the future. BEHOLD, the centerpiece of a weekend that captivated the Twin Cities and marked the long and vital relationship between the Guthrie and the community that it calls home, marked the half-century milestone for the flagship of the American regional theater movement that first opened its doors in 1963.

The Guthrie welcomes 17 accomplished local actors and vocalists who have all appeared on the Guthrie's stages during their careers to complete the artist line-up as the vocal ensemble for BEHOLD: A Gala Performance, honoring 50 years of the Guthrie, tonight, June 22, 2013. Accompanied by a 12-piece orchestra helmed by Musical Director Andrew Cooke, the ensemble will perform songs from some of the greatest musicals of all time, in unexpected ways.
