BigTop Works, the new producers of BIG APPLE CIRCUS, have announced the full lineup of global artists and acts joining ten-time world record-holding high wire artist Nik Wallenda and fan favorite Grandma the Clown for BIG APPLE CIRCUS's triumphant return.

The brand new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) with music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, opens tonight, April 26, at The Bernard B. National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects and partnerships in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2016. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award of $30,000 to support Big Apple Circus' renowned community outreach programs: Clown Care®, Circus of the Senses, Big Apple Circus Embraces Autism, and Vaudeville Visits. This is the circus' third year of funding for the programs, helping to bring the arts to under-served populations for yet another season.

Big Apple Circus hosted its annual Holiday Season Family Benefit, a special event that raises funds for the nonprofit performing arts institution's community programs, on Saturday, November 21, 2015 under the Big Top in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center (62nd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues), and featured comedian Jim Gaffigan as Guest Ringmaster.
