Hoffman will have an industry reading this Friday, October 13, at The Heath at The McKittrick (542 W 27th St).

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today full details for the 2017-2018 season, including the American love-rock musical Hair, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary; the terror-filled Frankenstein in a new collaboration with Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts; The Great Society, a follow-up to the smash-hit All the Way and a co-production with Houston's Alley Theatre; and two world-premiere plays, The Trials of Sam Houston and Miller, Mississippi.

Buntrock's directing credits include Sunday in the Park with George (Broadway, West End, Menier and 5th Avenue Seattle). The production won 5 Olivier Awards including Outstanding Musical Production and was nominated for 9 Tony Awards including Best Director. Sam Hodges, Director of Nuffield Theatre, today announces the cast for his world premiere production of Nick Dear's new play DEDICATION - SHAKESPEARE AND SOUTHAMPTON, which investigates the relationship between William Shakespeare and the 3rd Earl of Southampton. Tom McKay plays Shakespeare and Tom Rhys-Harries plays Henry Wriothesley, the 3rd Earl of Southampton. The production opens on 20 September, with previews from 9 September, runs until 8 October.

Milwaukee's Off the Wall Theatre presents an American premiere of an intellectual Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel more than the horror monsters the novel's name frequently invokes. The company's Artistic Director Dale Gutzman imported an adaptation by Nick Dear that premiered at London's National Theatre and focuses on the meaning of creating the spark of human life overlaid with touches from John MIlton's "Paradise Lost." Themes that Shelly intertwined into her original novel, often considered to be one of the first examples of science fiction.
