LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST opened at the Stratford Festival's Festival Theatre on Friday night…and it hit a home run with the audience! Director, John Caird takes one of Shakespeare's earlier plays and makes it feel shiny and new. Assisting with this is an exceptional cast, captivating set design, and beautiful music-but what is truly on display is William Shakespeare's utter love of, and talent with the English language. He makes words and sounds fun, and that is particularly true in this play.

According to an audition notice, Ryan Scott Oliver's DARLING -- a dark, sexy re-telling of Peter Pan -- is getting a developmental lab via WalkRunFly Productions after its January reading in New York City. The musical will run June 10 through July 1, 2015.

The Ruth Page Civic Ballet, the official youth performance company and an Artist In-Residence of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, performs at Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall, 418 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park, today, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m., as part of the Ruth Page Festival of Dance and Ravinia's 'Kids Concerts' programming series. This family friendly concert will include choreography by Victor Alexander, Marius Petipa and Dolores and Larry Long.

Don Gregory, the original and current producer of THE BELLE OF AMHERST, just announced that six time Tony Award® winner William Ivey Long (The Producers, Hairspray, Bullets Over Broadway, Cinderella) has joined the creative team to design the signature period costumes for the new production of WilliamLuce's acclaimed one-woman play of the private yet prolific poet Emily Dickinson starring Golden Globe Award® nominee Joely Richardson ("Nip/Tuck," Side Effects).

The Replay Series, presented by New York Live Arts, allows audience members the opportunity to engage with works that span the entire career of influential dance makers. ITV's smashing new hit MR. SELFRIDGE, starring Jeremy Piven, has proven to be a hit with critics and audiences alike. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Piven, at today's TCA winter press tour event, admits he's planning on getting comfortable in SELFRIDGE's flashy fashion. Though he originally wasn't intent on returning to TV at all, following the success of ENTOURAGE.

BIG FISH, a new musical based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 Columbia Pictures film written by John August, will star Norbert Leo Butz as Edward Bloom, and have its pre-Broadway world premiere at Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph Street) in a limited 5-week engagement beginning performances Tuesday, April 2, 2013, opening Sunday, April 21, 2013, and playing through Sunday, May 5, 2013. Tickets on sale Monday, February 4, 2013.
