George Orwell's Animal Farm takes place on a farm led initially by Mr. Jones. However, dissatisfied with the domination, the animals decide to make a revolution. They organize and expel Mr. Jones from the farm, as they no longer accept being treated as human slaves. Pigs now lead the farm, considering themselves the most intelligent animals. One of the century's greatest writers, Orwell paints a stark portrayal of power's relationship to the individual and society and its processes.
