An Official Selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival Next Link Project The Travels, a new play with music by Aaron Riccardi is one of the first shows at the New York Musical Theatre Festival to be granted and extension to to early popular demand. The Travels features music by Kelly Hoppenjans, book and lyrics by Aaron Riccardi, directed by Travis Greisler and choreography by Misha Sheilds. Beginning performances on July 14, the show will run through July 26 at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). An Official Selection of the New York Musical Theatre Festival Next Link Project, Cohen Theatrical will present the premiere of The Travels, a new play with music by Aaron Riccardi, music by Kelly Hoppenjans, with lyrics by Aaron Riccardi, directed by Travis Greisler and will feature choreography by Misha Sheilds. Beginning performances on July 14, the show will run through July 26 at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). The Hangar Theatre is happy to announce a fantastic lineup of accomplished directors and designers for its 40th Anniversary Mainstage season. While some of these artists are returning to the Hangar from past production favorites, others, including new Artistic Director Jen Waldman, will be making their Hangar debut. The evening features two 50-minute one act plays by contemporary Norwegian playwrights, both of whom have won the prestigious Ibsen Award: THE RETURNING by Fredrik Brattberg (directed by Henning Hegland) and MORE by Maria Tryti Vennerod (directed by Joan Kane). Previews of this limited Off-Broadway engagement begin November 9 at Theater For The New City with opening is slated for November 13.

The show is an evening of original and premiere short plays by Clare Barron (Baby Screams Miracle), Eric Dufault (The Year of the Rooster), Anna Kerrigan (The Talls), Lauren Morelli (Orange is the New Black), Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy), and Brian Watkins (The Prairie Plays).
