Casting has been announced for the 2021-22 touring season of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The cast will be led by Eric Chambliss (Bob Gaudio), Matt Faucher (Nick Massi), Devon Goffman (Tommy DeVito) and Jon Hacker (Frankie Valli) as The Four Seasons.

The REV Theatre company will continue its special reopening season themed “Reunion, Recovery, Resilience” with its second production – Footloose. Opening on August 4th, and running through September 1 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park, Footloose returns to the Playhouse for the first time in 18 years.

Theatre is back on Long Island and the spirited offering of Tony nominee Catch Me If You Can at the BayWay Arts Center does not disappoint. Presented by Studio Theatre of Long Island at the adorable East Islip venue, Rick Grossman superbly directs the wonderful cast and the superb crew elevates the visually stunning production. Running through July 25th, this is indeed a raucous yet heart-tugging show.

Broadway's Future Songbook Series - presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow - continues its 2019-20 season on Monday, January 27th in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street. Produced, Directed and Hosted by John Znidarsic, the evening spotlights the songs of Ben Caplan. Jen Sandler will serve as co-producer. Show time is 6PM and ADMISSION IS FREE.

Written and performed by Cion, directed by Cynthia Cahill, with music director Karl Saint Lucy on piano, the deeply personal exploration of Bowie's life of music and invention also features the musicians Jeremy Bass (guitar), Michael Ryan Morales (drums), and Daniel Shuman (bass).

As much as I admired Whitney Houston's phenomenal vocal instrument, I did not much care for 1992's movie of The Bodyguard. Apart from the music, I found it relatively boring. Houston's role Rachel Marron seemed of lesser focus than that of her bodyguard played by Kevin Costner, and maybe screenwriter Kasdan didn't feel that Houston, in her first film, could cut the acting. Now onstage in a revamped version, The Bodyguard The Musical took my breath away from moment to moment.
