Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie has set the 2018 - 2019 seasons at both the Mark Taper Forum and Kirk Douglas Theatre. Together, the seasons feature new plays, classic works and the continuation of Block Party, which celebrates the rich array of theatre produced every year in Los Angeles.

CTG Announces Cast for BLOODLETTING

Casting is set for the Playwrights' Arena production of "Bloodletting," which Center Theatre Group" is remounting at the Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of the second annual Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre. Written by Boni B. Alvarez and directed by Playwrights' Arena Artistic Director Jon Lawrence Rivera, "Bloodletting" will begin previews March 29, open March 31 and close April 8.

Center Theatre Group announced two more productions for the 2018 - 2019 season at the Ahmanson Theatre. Pulitzer-winning playwright Paula Vogel's deeply moving play with music, 'Indecent,' and the return of Matthew Bourne's highly evocative production of 'Cinderella' complete the 52nd season at the Ahmanson Theatre joining the previously announced 'Ain't Too Proud-The Life and Times of The Temptations,' 'Come From Away,' 'Dear Evan Hansen,' the Lincoln Center Theater production of 'Falsettos' and 'The Play That Goes Wrong.'

Center Theatre Group Hosts Free College & Career Fair for the Arts

Center Theatre Group invites current high school students, parents and teachers to attend the third annual College & Career Fair for the Arts on March 17, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair is free to attend and will take place at the Music Center Annex located at 601 W. Temple St. in Downtown L.A.

Center Theatre Group Selects Three Productions for Block Party at Douglas

Center Theatre Group has selected three local productions for the second annual Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Block Party 2018 will remount Celebration Theatre's production of Die, Mommie, Die!, Critical Mass Performance Group's production of Ameryka and Playwrights' Arena's production of Bloodletting. Each production will have a two-week run with 12 performances presented March 29 through May 20, 2018. The three visiting companies will receive the full support of Center Theatre Group and its staff in order to fund, stage and market each production.

Rehearsals have begun for Center Theatre Group's production of Water by the Spoonful by Quiara Alegr a Hudes. The 2012 Pulitzer Prize-winning play will be produced at the Mark Taper Forum January 31 through March 11, 2018. Directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, the opening of Water by the Spoonful is set for February 11.

ELLIOT TRILOGY to Play Concurrently in Los Angeles Theatres

Los Angeles audiences will have the rare opportunity to follow Quiara Alegri a Hudes' Elliot Trilogy playing concurrently at theatres across the city in early 2018. Center Theatre Group's production of Pulitzer finalist Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue (at the Kirk Douglas Theatre January 27 through February 25, 2018) and Pulitzer winner Water by the Spoonful (at the Mark Taper Forum January 31 through March 11) will be joined by Latino Theater Company's production of the final installment of the trilogy The Happiest Song Plays Last (at the Los Angeles Theatre Center February 17 through March 19). It is the first time all three plays will run at the same time in one city.
