The 5th annual Russian Heritage Festival-- a month-long celebration of the arts and culture in the New York metropolitan area's vast and vibrant Russian-speaking community -- will take place throughout the month of June in New York City, starting with the enormously popular 'Together in NY Community Festival' Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Asser Levy Park in Brooklyn.

The Mayor's office announced today that The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, the NYC Department of Sanitation, and Waste Management, Inc. in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful have joined with the long-running New York hit, STOMP, to create a series of compelling and percussive public service announcements, as well as subway, bus and other outdoor print ads under the banner STOMP OUT LITTER.

The Public Theater announces that Brian Bedford, Lynn Collins, Jennifer Ikeda, Richard Thomas, and James Waterston have joined the cast of As You Like It for Shakespeare in the Park. As You Like It is the first production scheduled in The Public's year-long 50th Anniversary Celebration, with performances beginning Tuesday, June 25th and continuing through Sunday, July 17th.
