Don Rebic and Christine Reisner-Rebic to Debut LOOK WHO'S IN LOVE at the Laurie Beechman, 2/9 & 19

On the heels of their one-year wedding anniversary, distinguished entertainers Christine Reisner-Rebic (an international cabaret chanteuse and dancer) and Don Rebic (Broadway and cabaret musical director and composer) will join forces for the New York City debut of their first full-length cabaret act as a duo. 'Look Who's in Love' features their original songs as well as songs by veteran Broadway composer Albert Hague (Christine's uncle) and timeless jazzy standards by Irving Berlin, Jule Styne, Jimmy Van Heusen, Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The show is directed by Michael Bush.

OMNI Ensemble Continues 31st Season on 3/1

The OMNI Ensemble will continue its 31st season of concerts in the recital hall at the Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Boulevard on Thursday afternoon, February 27th at 2:30 pm, and at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, March 1, 2014 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler and cellist Brian Snow welcome harpsichordist Rebecca Pechefsky, and violinists Antonia Nelson and Caroline Chin in a program featuring Baroque and contemporary music played on period instruments for half the concert. Music performed will be J.S. Bach's Trio Sonata in G major, Francois Couperin's Trio Sonata La Superbe, Antonio Vivaldi's Sonata in G, Olga Nazaykinskaya's Trio Sonata, Mark Janello's Six Harpsichord Miniatures, and David Wechsler's Carmela'a Blue Fit for alto flute, violin, viola and cello. Continuing as the chamber music group in residence at the Brooklyn Conservatory, the OMNI Ensemble continues to perform concerts of enormous variety all designed to provide their audience with a musical diversity not ordinarily encountered by one chamber music group. Throughout the season they perform in the recital hall at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.

A total of 46 established and emerging writers, composers and lyricists will converge on the Goodspeed campus in East Haddam, CT this month to participate in the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing nearly 30 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Last night, December 19, Town Hall overflowed with the musical joys of the season when three extraordinary talents, Leslie Uggams, Marilyn Maye and Christine Andreas took the stage for Holiday Belles. These award-winning singers brought their unique and diverse talents to the celebration, performing songs from the musical theater and the American Songbook, as well as holiday favorites. The concert, conceived and directed by Michael Bush, featured each singer performing her own individual set, and then brought them together for a very merry finale of holiday melodies. 75 - year old singer Tonia Tecce has made her long-delayed New York City cabaret debut last night at The Metropolitan Room. Previously, Tecce has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Academy of Music, and sung with Peter Nero and many orchestras . Her show, A Cockeyed Optimist, Why We Believe, The Songs of Richard Rodgers, was written and directed by Michael Bush.
