Critically acclaimed LGBTQ play Riot Act heads to London for one night only as part of a new UK tour for 2020.

Award-winning playwright/filmmaker Julien Nitzberg's new stage musical FOR THE LOVE OF A GLOVE, AN UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL FABLE ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON AS TOLD BY HIS GLOVE, featuring 20 original, meticulously built Japanese Bunraku–inspired puppets designed by Robin Walsh, today gave BROADWAY WORLD an exclusive first look at Eric B. Anthony as the older Michael Jackson. 

Award-winning playwright/filmmaker Julien Nitzberg today announced that choreographers Cris Judd and Bryan Anthony have joined the company of his new musical FOR THE LOVE OF A GLOVE, AN UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL FABLE ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON AS TOLD BY HIS GLOVE. Cris Judd danced with Michael Jackson for many years, most notably at the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards, on The Dangerous Tour and HIStory Tour, where he became one of Michael's main dancers. Bryan Anthony danced as an 11-year-old with Michael Jackson, Alfonso Ribeiro and the other Jackson brothers in an infamous 1984 Pepsi commercial.

A powerful verbatim theatre piece exploring the history of the LGBTQ rights movement is returning for a UK tour in 2020, following a successful tour in 2019 and run at the Duchess Theatre in the West End.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) honored outstanding members of the Los Angeles community at the annual Big Bash Gala on Friday, November 15, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills. Kim Baldonado, the NBCLA Emmy Award winning reporter, was honored as the 2019 BBBSLA Big Sister of the Year. Mike Shumard was the evening's emcee and led the fundraising appeal. Actress Heather Hemmens (If Loving You Is Wrong; Roswell, New Mexico) presented her testimonial as a mentor and 'Big Sister'. The BBBSLA Big Bash Gala benefits youth facing adversity from underserved communities in Los Angeles.

After his sold-out Sex/Crime (The Glory), Alexis Gregory presents the verbatim Riot Act, directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair. Written especially for King's Head Theatre's Queer Season, the piece explores the role of Stonewall, queer history, activism, drag queens, and loss in three gut-wrenching monologues born out of interviews with Michael-Anthony Nozzi, Lavinia Co-op, and Paul Burston.

English playwright and screenwriter Frederick Knott, though a reluctant writer, is known for his ingeniously complex, crime-related plots even though he only completed three plays in his career. Two have become classics: the London-based stage thriller Dial M for Murder, which was later filmed in Hollywood by Alfred Hitchcock, and the chilling 1966 play Wait Until Dark, which also became a Hollywood film starring Audrey Hepburn as a blind woman terrorized by thugs in her basement apartment. His third play, WRITE ME A MURDER, has never achieved the same acclaim nor been performed nearly as much as his other two hit plays.
