Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the award-winning New York theater troupe Tectonic Theater Project will join the 2010-2011 season with its national tour of The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later.

The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Tectonic Theater Project's groundbreaking play The Laramie Project and the new companion piece The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, November 11-13, 2010. Now more relevant than ever, these two plays explore the impact that the murder of Matthew Shephard (12 years ago this month) had not only on the town of Laramie, Wyoming but also on our nation, and how the effect of that impact continues to be felt today. New York theater troupe Tectonic Theater Project will join our inaugural season with the national tour of The Laramie Project Residency. Written and directed by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Moisés Kaufman (Broadway and Arena's 33 Variations), The Laramie Project Residency features both The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, which debuted last fall with 150 simultaneous readings around the world, including one hosted by Arena Stage. INTAR Theatre, one of America's longest running Latino theaters producing plays in English, begins its 42nd season with a production of Pulitzer Prize-winner Maxwell Anderson's Night Over Taos, directed by Academy Award-winning actress and director Estelle Parsons. This rediscovered classic will play a limited Off-Broadway run from September 20 through October 20 at Theater for the New City. The official opening is set for Monday, October 1 at 7PM.
