Tommy Mottola, the Dodgers, Tribeca Productions, and Evamere Entertainment just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Album of A Bronx Tale was recorded in New York City today, January 9. Release dates and additional information will be announced shortly.

Just last night, A Bronx Tale opened at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48thStreet). The new musical, featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, and lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, co-directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo, began performances on Thursday, November 3. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Nicolas Dromard (MARY POPPINS, THE BOY FROM OZ) will join the cast of JERSEY BOYS later this month. Dromard will play Tommy DeVito (which he previously played in the 1st national tour), temporarily taking over for Richard H. Blake. He joins the company on December 21.
