On Wednesday and Thursday, July 21 and 22, Jim Caruso's Cast Party traveled West for the third time! For the third time in as many months, the extreme open mic has been jamming The Magic Castle in Hollywood with extraordinary talent, and these two nights were no exception to the rule!

Last Monday night the touring cast of IN THE HEIGHTS performed two benefit concerts to raise funds for a Puerto Rican hospital. The concert, entitled 'Guilty Pleasures', featured over 20 members of the cast performing their guilty pleasure songs.

In the now popular tradition of the Legend Series at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, friends, colleagues and fans such as Richard Chamberlain, Tippi Hedren, Jon Voight and more gathered on Sunday, May 23rd for a evening with Rich Little and his Art. Little is best known as the master mimic of over 200 voices, however in addition to his spot on impersonations of legends such as Jack Benny, George Burns, John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart and five presidents (Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Sr, and Clinton), the two-day engagement in the Palace of Mystery Theatre at the Magic Castle also featured Mr. Little's artwork both onstage and in The Castle's Inner Circle. Sunday's night's engagement featured a tribute to the Legendary Ladies by British Sensation, Toni Morrell, prior to Rich Little's tribute in his art to the Legendary Men and their voices. On Dec 13th Cabaret at the Castle presented an amazing musical line-up of first-class talent in HOLIDAY MAGIC: A Cabaret Benefiting Toys For Tots featuring Nita Whitaker, Alli Mauzey, Julie Garnye, Ty Taylor, and Jason Graae, with audiences attending the late show (10:00pm) receiving an unscheduled additional surprise with performances by Alan Cumming and Ricky Lake.

The Grammy nominated, Ilene Graff and her husband, ASCAP Award-winning composer Ben Lanzarone, gave sold out audiences at Los Angeles' Cabaret at the Castle a night to remember.

Among the many topics discussed on Sunday June 21st at the Magic Castle's Inner Circle gathering featuring the comedic icon Phyllis Diller, was how she was one of the long and impressive list of Dolly's such as Carol Channing, Ginger Rogers, Pearl Bailey and Ethel Merman to perform at the St James Theatre in Jerry Herman's HELLO DOLLY! 'David Merrick wanted either George Burns or Jack Benny to do Dolly in drag, but couldn't get them so he settled for me,' says Ms. Diller, whom everyone referred to as Madam. 'Can you imagine? It would still be running on Broadway today!'
