Following last night's highly anticipated first preview of HAMILTON at the Public, TodayTix hosted the exclusive afterparty at the Public's Library Bar. The Public Theater presents the world premiere musical Hamilton, beginning previews tonight, January 20, in The Public's Newman Theater. Inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail, Hamilton runs through Sunday, April 5 with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17.

The Public Theater announced a second extension today for the world premiere musical HAMILTON, beginning previews on Tuesday, January 20 in The Public's Newman Theater. Inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail, HAMILTON will now run through Sunday, April 5 with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17.

The Public Theater's HAMILTON begins performances on Tuesday, January 20 and has been extended through March 22 with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17. HAMILTON is now completely cast. The five final cast members are Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Shuyler, Maria Reynolds); Andrew Chappelle (Swing); Alysha Deslorieux (Swing); Javier Muñoz (Hamilton Standby); and Okieriete Onaodowan (Hercules Mulligan, James Madison). The Public will soon present the world premiere of Lin-Manuel Miranda's new play Hamilton from Jan 20 to Feb 22, 2015. It is based on the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow. Miranda will play Hamilton himself. According to an Equity casting notice, auditions are currently underway to fill several key roles, including Aaron Burr, George Washington and more. The character descriptions paint exciting pictures of Miranda's characters, including: Aaron Burr ('Javert meets Mos Def'), George Washington ('John Legend meets Mufasa'), Hercules Mulligan/James Madison ('RZA meets Zach from Chorus Line'), King George ('Wainwright meets King Herod in JCS'), and Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds (Jasmine Sullivan meets Carla from Nine).

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) today announced the recipients of the Washington, DC Regional Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards. 15 local high school seniors will be honored for their leadership in the classroom and community, and promoted as role models during a ceremony on Capitol Hill. In commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the Youth Awards, the ceremony will spotlight past Youth Awardees and special guests in attendance.

Los días 11, 14, 16 y 18 de marzo la opereta de Leonard Bernstein 'Candide', dirigida por Paco Mir, con dirección musical de Manuel Coves, protagonizado por Antoni Comas, Maria Rey-Joly y Eva Diago, entre otros, se representará en la Sala Roja de los Teatros del Canal de Madrid. El espectáculo contará con la participación de la Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid y las coreografías de Francesc Abós.

La opereta de Leonard Bernstein basada en la obra de Voltaire, 'Candide', protagonizada por Toni Comas, Maria Rey-Joly, Eva Diago, Jordi Bosch, Xavier Ribera-Vall y Anna Mateo, entre otros, y dirigida por Paco Mir, con coreografía de Francesc Abos, se estrena este viernes en el Auditorio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial. En Marzo de 2012 llegará a los Teatros del Canal de Madrid.

La semana que viene se estrenará dentro del Festival de Verano del Teatro Auditorio del Escorial la opereta de Leonard Bernstein 'Candide', con dirección escénica de Paco Mir y dirección musical de Manuel Coves, y protagonizada por Antoni Comas, María Rey-Joly, Jordi Bosch, Xavier Ribera-Val y Eva Diago. El montaje actualmente se está ensayando en los Teatros del Canal de Madrid.

Los días 29 y 31 de Julio se presenta en el Teatro Auditorio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial la opereta 'Candide', basado en la obra de Voltaire. BroadwayWorld ha hablado con su director Paco Mir, acerca de esta nueva producción del clásico de Leonard Bernstein.

El musical Candide se estrenará el próximo día 29 de julio dentro del Festival del Escorial 2011, en el Auditorio de San Lorenzo del Escorial. La dirección escénica será de Paco Mir y la dirección musical de Manuel Coves.
