The Festival will kick off on Wednesday, October 26 with its celebrated concert, The 46th Minute, which features songs from Festival shows you will not get to hear in the 45-minute presentation.

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Sunday April 3rd, with Henry and Mudge? was adapted by bookwriter/lyricist Kait Kerrigan and composer/lyricist Brian Lowdermilk (Jonathan Larson Award-winners) and is based on the best-selling books by Cynthia Rylant, illustrated by Sucie Stevenson. Henry and Mudge premiered Off-Broadway in July 2006 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. This 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 4 and up.

Theatergoers at the Fox Performing Arts Center (Fox PAC) in Riverside, California, had the pleasure of watching the hilarious FORBIDDEN BROADWAY revue. The audience laughed uproariously at the onstage antics, which consist of skewering Broadway's musical hits and stars.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Young People's Theatre Workshop (YPTW) will host Come Home to YPTW, a concert featuring alumni star performers on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m.  at The Players Club of Swarthmore, 614 Fairview Ave., Swarthmore. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door.  Download a ticket order form at www.yptw.org   The purpose of the concert is to raise funds for YPTW's spring production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a technically expensive production that requires a "flying" car.  All funds raised from the concert will be used to support the production.

On Thursday, January 7th a cast of Broadway favorites once again brought the popular Instagram/Twitter trend of #tbt to the stage of 54 Below with #tbtLIVE Throwback Thursday: The Concert. During the big night, Broadway favorite Robin de Jesus performed a 'Feminist Medley,' which was arranged by Tim Rosser. Check it out below!

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.
