The beloved family musical Annie began performances at Tuacahn Arts Center this month. Get a first look at the cast in action!

Crystal Kellogg (Broadway's Finding Neverland), Nathaniel Hackmann (Broadway's Les  Misérables) and Terra C. MacLeod (Broadway's Chicago and The Lizzy Maguire Movie) head Tuacahn Amphitheatre's 2021 season. For the 25th anniversary season, Tuacahn is  producing their biggest season ever with popular productions Disney's Beauty and the  Beast and Annie.

The Lexington Theatre Company (The Lex) welcomed David Elder (42nd Street, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Guys and Dolls, Titanic), Desi Oakley (Chicago, Wicked, Les Miserables, Waitress First National Tour), Michael James Scott (Disney's Aladdin, Something Rotten, The Book of Mormon), and Megan Sikora (Wicked, 42nd Street, How to Succeed…, Promises Promises) to Kentucky, to headline the sixth edition of their signature “Concert With The Stars” on January 3.

Northport's John W. Engeman Theatre does it again with a thrilling production of Tony award-winner Matilda, the musical. The lavish incarnation, superbly directed by Igor Goldin, runs at the exquisite Long Island venue through December 29th. And, based on the audience reaction opening weekend, you may want to get your tickets quickly.

Ralphie is coming to the rescue because it's the the seventh anniversary of A Christmas Story The Musical coming to Broadway! Oklahoma! is the first musical written by the team of composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLaine and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. A secondary romance concerns cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancee, Ado Annie.

The southern charm of a North Carolina summer would only be complete with banjo music echoing through the peaks and valleys of the expansive Appalachian Mountains. In the year 1923, in the town of Zebulon, somewhere twixt the Atlantic coast and the Great Smoky Mountains, young love finds Alice Murphy (Erin Lindsey Krom) and Jimmy Ray Dobbs (Jerreme Rodriguez). Intimacy leads to divisions within the families, stories and decades are crossed and intertwined, and the stage for Front Porch Theatricals' bluegrass musical Bright Star is set.
