Broadway's Saycon Sengbloh to Perform at SOB's Tonight

Broadway star, Saycon Sengbloh (Motown / Fela / Holler If Ya Hear Me), is set to perform for the YouKnowIGotSoul.com presents SOL Village R&B Showcase tonight, July 16, 2014 at the infamous SOB's (Sounds of Brazil) in New York City where the doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 9:00pm. Saycon will be singing her own brand of vintage pop soul music! The concert will also feature performances by Maurice, Clinton Babers, Sincerely XO, and Adreena.

On Founder's Day, Dr. Barbara Ann Teer's National Black Theatre's (NBT) hosted the 2014 TEER Spirit Awards Gala to celebrate nine remarkable people in its community: Susan L. Taylor, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Sonia Sanchez, Keith Josef Adkins, Pastor Michael A. Walrond, Rev. Dr. Iris J. Banister, Marjorie Moon, James Haughton, and William L. Strickland. IT IS NBT'S FOUNDERS DAY!! Come celebrate with the National Black Theatre as we end our landmark 45th year and turn 46! TODAY at NBT (2031 5th Avenue), we are preparing a spectacular night to celebrate nine visionary leaders in our community. All that's missing is YOU! There will be a reception starting at 6:00PM followed by dinner and the award ceremony at 7:00pm. For public transportation, take the 2,3 or the 4,5 lines to 125th Street and walk to 5th Avenue.
