With the combined credits and awards of the playwright Louis Douglas Jacobs and director David Fofi, one would expect a particularly brilliant production of the critically -acclaimed revival 7 Redneck Cheerleaders. But even with a very game, committed cast of obviously talented performers, the almost two-hour piece unfortunately never gels.

The Elephant Theatre Company, David Fofi and Lindsay Allbaugh, Co-Artistic Directors, has announced the world premiere of Love Sick by Kristina Poe, directed by Fofi, at the Elephant Space in Hollywood. There will be two preview performances on September 21 and 22, with opening night set for Friday, September 23 at 8:00. Love Sick will play a limited engagement through October 29.

Actress Cheryl Huggins has joined the cast of 100 Saints You Should Know by Kate Fodor, it was announced today by Elephant co-artistic director David Fofi. Ms. Huggins replaces the previously announced Emma Jacobson-Sive, who has left the production due to a family emergency. Opening night, which had been set for Friday, May 20, will now be Friday, May 27, and 100 Saints You Should Know will play a limited engagement through June 26.

Following the much acclaimed west coast premiere production of Parasite Drag by Mark Roberts, the Elephant Theatre Company concludes its 14th season with the west coast premiere of The Little Flower of East Orange by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by Elephant artistic director David Fofi. Performances begin Thursday, November 4, and opening night is set for Saturday, November 6. The Little Flower of East Orange will play a strictly limited engagement through December 19.

Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, the west coast premiere production of The Little Flower of East Orange by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by David Fofi, will now open on Friday, November 12 (a Saturday 11/6 opening had been previously announced). There will be preview performances on Saturday, November 6 at 8pm and Sunday, November 7 at 7pm. The Little Flower of East Orange will play a limited engagement through December 19 only.

Former artistic director of Little Fish Theatre Melanie Jones has joined the cast of The Little Flower of East Orange by Stephen Adly Guirgis, it was announced today by Elephant artistic director David Fofi. Ms. Jones replaces the previously announced Katherine Helmond, who has left the production due to prior contractual obligations. Opening night is set for Friday, November 12, and The Little Flower of East Orange will play a strictly limited engagement through December 19.
