ME, MY MOUTH AND I - a new solo play written and performed by Joy Behar held its world-premiere production at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.) this fall, and opened on Sunday, November 23. The production will play a limited 7-week engagement through December 21.

CBS Boston's WBZ-TV News anchor Lisa Hughes returns to the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated talk show, CBS's THE TALK, as a guest co-host on Tuesday, June 17 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT), joining hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood at the table. This will be Hughes' third appearance on THE TALK. Also appearing on the show will be actress Lorraine Bracco, “The Insider” host Thea Andrews and chef David Myers.

Shrunken Shakespeare Company (SSC), in association with Joe Paradise, announced today that Nigerian-born Royal Shakespeare Company associate artist Chukwudi Iwuji (The Public/RSC: Anthony and Cleopatra; London Old Vic/BAM: Richard III with Kevin Spacey) has joined the cast of Paul Sorvino's world premiere adaption of Lear as part of their 2014 Fundraiser Gala, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and TV veterans. The Gala will be held on Monday, April 21st at 7:30pm, at TBG Theatre located at 312 W 36th Street, 3rd Floor in NYC.

Shrunken Shakespeare Company's 2014 Fundraiser Gala will be hosting the New York City premiere of "Lear" adapted by and starring Paul Sorvino. This cut of William Shakespeare's "King Lear" will be presented as a staged reading, produced by SSC in collaboration with director and producer Joe Paradise. In addition to Sorvino and Paradise, actor/comedian Wayne Powers, Michael Sorvino, and Tyler Hollinger of The Public Theatre and The Mint, will also be taking part in "Lear." Complete casting is to be announced. The Gala will take place on Monday, April 21 at 7:30pm, at The Barrow Group located at 312 W. 36th Street, 3rd Floor.

Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights (RFKCenter.org) launched its Seventh Annual Ripple of Hope Holiday Auction with support from some of the world's most recognizable celebrities spanning entertainment, sports, music, and politics. The online auction is open to bidders internationally through December 17 at RFKAUCTION.COM. Proceeds will support the RFK Center's work to empower fearless human rights defenders and inspire a new generation of defenders through its human rights curriculum.
