In this episode, Ben and Daniel discuss the 1982 broadcast of the Tony-winning musical 'Ain't Misbehavin',' starring Nell Carter, André DeShields, Armelia McQueen, Ken Page, and Charlayne Woodard. 'Ain't Misbehavin'' is a tribute to the black musicians of the 1920s and 30s, and uses the music of Fats Waller to celebrate the creativity of the Harlem Renaissance and the Golden Age of hotspots like the Cotton Club and the Savoy Ballroom. The musical was directed by Richard Maltby Jr., with choreography and musical staging by Arthur Faria.

In this episode, Ben and Daniel talk to Tony-nominated director and actor Charles Busch about the soundtrack to the 1983 film 'Yentl.' They also discuss Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Linda Lavin, Julie Halston, Patrick Dennis, 'Mame,' Michael Tanner, Tom Judson, Dick Gallagher, Lucie Arnaz, Lorna Luft, Michael Vollbracht, 'The Women,' Carl Andress, Lynne Meadow, Tony Roberts, Paul Newman, Sasha Velour, Bianca Del Rio, Stephen Sondheim, and Michele Lee. Charles talks about his career in and out of drag, as well as the difference between downtown and mainstream theater. Charles is the author of a number of fabulous plays, many of which he starred in, including 'Vampire Lesbians of Sodom,' 'Psycho Beach Party,' and his most recent, 'The Confession of Lily Dare.' His 2000 hit play, 'The Tale of the Allergist's Wife,' ran on Broadway and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play.

Michael Feinstein produced a memorial event at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, featuring performances by: Feinstein ('I Won't Send Roses'), Kristin Chenoweth ('If He Walked Into My Life'), Sutton Foster ('I Don't Want to Know'), Kelli O'Hara ('Before the Parade Passes By'), Leslie Uggams ('I Am What I Am'), Bernadette Peters ('Time Heals Everything'), Betty Buckley ('Hello, Dolly!'), Klea Blackhurst and Tyne Daly ('Bosom Buddies'), John Bolton ('It Takes a Woman'), Lorna Luft ('Gooch's Song'), Ron Raines ('Mame'), Jason Graae ('You I Like'), Marilyn Maye ('It's Today'), Jeremy Jordan ('It Only Takes a Moment'), Lee Roy Reams ('The Best of Times'), and Debbie Gravitte ('Wherever He Ain't'), with Alice Borden, Jane Dorian, and Harvey Fierstein, and special video tributes from Angela Lansbury and Paul McCartney. Marc Bruni directed the event with Larry Blank serving as music director, and Don Pippin (guest conductor).
