London is loaning NYC Lorna Dallas for a few days so our citizens can get a look at her much-praised program GLAMOROUS NIGHTS AND RAINY DAYS.

Nothing can compare to being held gently in his hands and told stories and sung to. The key to his world is WORDS and their importance, which also carries over into song lyrics. Not a false move or thought or phrase.

Award winner Lorna Dallas is making a welcome return to the New York Stage in Barry Kleinbort/Christopher Denny helmed new musical cabaret.

Two of Broadway’s most beloved performers, Anita Gillette and Penny Fuller, took to the stage at Birdland on Monday, April 17 for their latest song and story compilation: “Sin Twisters: The Next Frontier.”

The Laurie Beechman Theatre will present Lorna Dallas in her latest musical feast, “Glamorous Nights and Rainy Days,” in a two-night engagement - Saturday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 17 - both shows at 7pm.

Linda Purl brings her newest set list of songs to the Birdland Theater in her show 'The Could Be The Start...'. A blend of classic songs, old and new, with an eye towards fresh beginnings in a reinvigorated time. Backed by the musical trio of Tedd Firth (piano), David Finck (bass), and Ray Marchica (drums).

Amy Irving stopped by THE LINEUP, making the last episode of the year even more magical than it already was.

The gala honored musical theater legend Leslie Uggams  with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater, which will be presented by Dionne Warwick. Ted Chapin was also honored with The York Theatre Company Founders' Award, presented by his daughters Anika and Zoë Chapin. Ann Kittredge will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street – between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Sunday, October 23rd at 7pm with her Musical Director Christopher Denny (piano), Sean Harkness (guitar), Mary Ann McSweeney (bass), Rex Benincasa(drums) and special guests Robbie Kondor and Steve Ross.

Tony Award nominees Michael John LaChiusa and Ellen Fitzhugh's newest collaboration LOS OTROS, recently opened at A.R.T./New York Theatres (through October 8).  See photos of the cast greeting friends and family.

Fane, the independent programmer of Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zédel in Piccadilly, has announced that after six very happy years programming the venue, they will be passing on the programming baton at the end of 2022.

Birdland presented singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom in “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2. Ms. McBroom is perhaps best known for her song, “The Rose,” which was famously recorded by Bette Midler for the film of the same name.  But until this concert, McBroom and Midler hadn’t met, even though the extraordinary composition helped change both careers.

Sondheim Unplugged took place at Feinstein's/54 Below on April 24. A celebrated New York event since 2010, the BroadwayWorld and Bistro Award-winning series Sondheim Unplugged features some of Broadway and cabaret’s most dynamic voices, accompanied by piano only, delving into the musical world of Broadway’s master composer.

In celebration of her soon to be released album Ann Kittredge:reIMAGINE(Jazzheads, Inc./King Kozmo Music), a specially curated collection of songs uniquely re-imagined, Ms. Kittredge, will appear at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street – between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Thursday, May 26th at 7pm.
