A&E Network will premiere the original scripted drama series, 'Breakout Kings' on Sunday, March 13 at 10:00pm ET/PT. From Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora, writers/producers of the hit series 'Prison Break,' comes 'Breakout Kings' a new action-packed ensemble drama following an unconventional partnership between the U.S. Marshals' office and a group of convicts as they work to catch fugitives on the run.

Bassett Joins Patton for 'Jumping the Broom' Flick

The Hollywood Reporter reveals today that Angela Bassett will join Precious star Paula Patton in wedding-themed film, Jumping the Broom. The comedy will be directed by Salim Akil under the Columbia banner. Laz Alonso, Loretta Devine and Romeo Miller round out the cast. Filming begins in Canada next month.

The winners of the 2009 Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards and the recipients of the Guild's 2010 Career Achievement Awards were announced last night during the 62nd Annual DGA Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker. Following the welcome by DGA President Taylor Hackford to an audience of more than 1,600 guests, director/actor Carl Reiner hosted the ceremony.
