Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer;Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director), continues their 29th season with a new production of their acclaimed 1995 OBIE Award winner, The Model Apartment, by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies(Shipwrecked!, Time Stands Still, Dinner with Friends, Sight Unseen). Directed by Evan Cabnet (A Kid Like Jakeat Lincoln Center Theater, The Performers on Broadway), the production will feature Mark Blum (The Assembled Parties and Gore Vidal's The Best Man on Broadway), Diane Davis (Old Acquaintance on Broadway, Regrets Only at MTC), two-time Obie Award-winner Kathryn Grody (The Marriage of Bette & Boo, Top Girls, A Mom's Life), and Hubert Point-Du Jour (Angels in America and The Brother/Sister Plays Off-Broadway). terraNOVA Collective and Producing Artistic Director, Jennifer Conley Darling have announced the 11th Season promoting distinct and powerful voices. The Season will include World Premiere and New York Premiere productions and commences in September, at IRT Theater, with the launch of soloNOVA Arts presenting WILL WORK FOR, Dacyl Acevedo's one-woman tour-de-force which premiered in last season's soloNOVA Festival and SEXLESS IN THE BOROUGHS by Colleen O'Connor, a co-production with The Glass Eye led by Kyle Metzger and Jared Weber. IRT Theater is located in the Archive Building at 154 Christopher St, New York.

Apparently, not all upper west side Jewish families spend Christmas Day going out for Chinese food and a movie.  Take the extended family of Richard Greenberg's The Assembled Parties, who spend two December 25ths, twenty years apart, in a perfunctory celebration of the holiday while complaining about the inability to find a plumber to come right over fix a leaky pipe (Even when offered a 'Nativity surcharge.') and referring to the season's continual playing of Bing Crosby singing 'White Christmas' as, 'a tiny acoustic rape every time you leave the apartment.'
