Universal Music Group Nashville has signed Chrissy Metz, star of 20th Century Fox's BREAKTHROUGH and the award-winning NBC series “This Is Us.” UMG Nashville first worked with Metz on the Breakthrough movie soundtrack which featured her performance of the Oscar nominated, Diane Warren penned track, “I'm Standing With You.” Chrissy made her Academy of Country Music Awards debut in April when she performed “I'm Standing With You” alongside now label mates Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina, Maddie & Tae & Mickey Guyton. The '90s influenced country band Hot Country Knights has inked a worldwide recording deal with Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN), it was announced today. Teaming with imprint Capitol Records Nashville, the Knights are promising to bring real '90s country music back to a format that's been drowning in male sensitivity, cashmere cardigan sweaters and programmed drum loops. 

Lauren Alaina will take the stage, alongside previously announced performers LL COOL J Featuring DJ Z-Trip, Village People, The Chainsmokers, The Lumineers, Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys, The Killers and Tyga, to help ring in 2020.

Country music superstar Alan Jackson will continue his career-long tradition of showcasing new talent on tour by inviting artists from his Nashville honky-tonk, AJ's Good Time Bar, to perform at several of his concerts for the second year in a row.

Today, CMT-awarded and GRAMMY®-nominated music icon and original female outlaw Tanya Tucker, whose critically acclaimed album While I'm Livin' landed at No. 1 on Rolling Stone's 40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2019, revealed the 2020 tour dates for the 'CMT Next Women of Country: Bring My Flowers Now Tour.' Kicking off on February 5, the CMT tour will make stops in such major cities as Boston, Dallas, Houston, New York, Ontario, Vancouver and more. GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum singer-songwriters Gavin DeGraw and Chris Young team up for the next installment of the critically-acclaimed series 'CMT Crossroads,' premiering Friday, December 13 at 10PM ET/PT on CMT. The show was filmed recently in Nashville in front of a standing room-only crowd.

America's favorite dance show is going back on tour this winter with “Dancing with the Stars – Live Tour 2020,” featuring celebrity guests from the 2019 season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The cast of celebrities includes newly crowned Mirrorball champion Hannah Brown from “The Bachelorette,” pop star Ally Brooke, country artist Lauren Alaina, comedian and actor Kel Mitchell, “The Office” actress Kate Flannery and model Sailor Brinkley-Cook. Each night, one or more of these celebrities will be joining the show to wow live audiences across the country by performing fan-favorite routines from this past season. The longest tour to date will be kicking off Jan. 9 in Richmond, Virginia.

When Arkansas native Blane Howardwrote “Promise to Love Her” it was never meant to be anything more than a simple gift. A gift that Howard surprised his bride, Megan, with on the morning of their wedding. Penning the song was, for him, less about writing a song, and more about translating his love for his wife into something they could always share, and it is one that most people will surely relate with. The song has quickly become his biggest success to date with more than 40 million streams across digital platforms. Shortly after the song's release, at his fans' behest, Blane and some friends created a video for the song, which included actual footage from his own wedding. While the original video has garnered more than 7.5 million views online, it was time to freshen it up for broadcast television. Last week, the official music video, featuring his wife, premiered on CMT Music and CMT.com.

Rising country trio TEMECULA ROAD made their Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, November 1 at the first weekend of the show's annual winter run of Opry At The Ryman in downtown Nashville.  Maddie, Emma, and Dawson, introduced by Connie Smith, brought their unforgettable harmonies to the iconic stage.  Performing their latest single “Maybe Not” and a stripped-down acoustic version of the Eagles classic “Desperado,” their debut brought a packed house of family, friends, and fans to their feet for a standing ovation.

The Country Music Association visited Albuquerque Tuesday, Oct. 15 with songwriters Lauren Alaina, Erin Enderlin, Sierra Hull and Luke Laird. While in Albuquerque, the group met with students and teachers from Albuquerque High School as part of U.S. Bank's Community Possible giving and engagement platform and its Places to Play partnership with the CMA Foundation, followed by a CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at KiMo Theatre.

Country music superstar Blake Shelton championed his friends and heroes like The Bellamy Brothers this year more than ever, from sharing singles to sharing stages – and he's not done yet! The arena-selling, multi-media entertainer will hit the road once again for “Friends and Heroes 2020” beginning Thursday, February 13 in Portland, Oregon. The 16-date run will hit major cities throughout the Midwest and West Coast, including a stop at The Forum in Los Angeles (full list below). Multi-Platinum entertainer Chris Young adds to his impressive resume today as he makes his directorial debut with the music video for his newest hit, “Drowning.” Co-directed with Native 31 Films Producer and Director Jeff Johnson, the stirring clip opens with Young holding a photo of Adam Carnes, his longtime friend whose loss is memorialized in the song's “soul-shattering lyrics” (People).
