SDC Ratifies Contracts and Names New Board

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) has announced that its membership ratified several contracts at the union's annual membership meeting held this past month. Attended by over 75 directors and choreographers and presided over by Executive Board President Karen Azenberg and Executive Director Laura Penn, the meeting also included the announcement of executive board election results and the presentation of the Joe A. Callaway Awards.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation announced that the recipient of the Noël Coward Fellowship will be Amy Anders Corcoran. The Noël Coward Fellowship was established in April of 2009 with funding from the Noël Coward Foundation. The fellowship is designed to provide early-career Members and Associates who have a proclivity for comedic work with the opportunity to develop professionally by assisting a Mentor Director on a major production of Noël Coward?s work.

Intiman Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Bartlett Sher, Managing Director Brian Colburn and Board President Susan J. Leavitt, announces that Melaine Bennett has joined its staff as Director of Development. Bennett will officially begin work at Intiman on March 2, prior to the end of this season's fiscal year, as Intiman launches new fundraising efforts following the successful completion of its Dramatically Different campaign.
