The first poster and promotional teaser trailer for the second season of popular and acclaimed Netflix drama HOUSE OF CARDS is now available to view, featuring stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.

Despite previous rumors that Netflix's popular series HOUSE OF CARDS, starring Kevin Spacey, would likely end after season 2, Deadline is now reporting that Netflix is in talks for a third season of the original drama.

Let's hear it for the ladies of horror: those evil, tormented women, who have been inhabited by the devil or perhaps chased by a crazed lunatic wielding a deadly chainsaw. Fear not, your nightmares have been answered as EPIX and FEARnet have partnered to present 'Maidens of Mayhem,' a week-long festival of horror films featuring possessed ladies and the men/women and other entities who love them - or want to kill them. The festival begins on FEARnet today, October 14th and moves to EPIX on Thursday, October 17th with a special presentation of the original Carrie (1976) starring Sissy Spacek on the eve of the latest film adaptation of the Stephen King novel, starring Chlo? Grace-Moretz and Julianne Moore. Following the film, EPIX will present a World Premiere sneak peek at the new movie (see full schedule below).

At Vancouver International Film Festival last week, executive producer Rick Cleveland was more than open with the show's future, telling GoldDerby: 'House of Cards' is only going to go a second season and I think that's it. Kevin Spacey likes to do movies and Robin Wright likes to do movies.'

HISTORY announced today that the network has green-lighted production of a new four-hour scripted miniseries, HOUDINI, slated to start production this fall. Starring Academy Award winner Adrien Brody(The Pianist) as the ace magician and Kristen Connolly (House of Cards, The Cabin in the Woods) as his wife Bess, the miniseries will trace the arc of Houdini's life from desperate poverty to worldwide fame and will be co-produced for HISTORY by Lionsgate and A+E Studios.

The Public Theater's production of the new musical LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, the second show of The Public's 2013 free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte, recently began previews on July 23. Directed by Alex Timbers, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST features songs by Michael Friedman with book adaptation by Timbers and will run through Sunday, August 18, and opened last night, August 12. Kevin Spacey will shortly return to the land of corruption - also known as Washington DC. HOUSE OF CARDS star Constance Zimmer let it be known today on Twitter that shooting on Season 2 of the runaway-hit streamer will begin later this month. Deadline caught the tweet, and was the first to report.

Don't want to fork out the basic Netflix package of $7.99 a month to check out HOUSE OF CARDS? Amazon is currently taking preorders for the series' DVD release - apparently set for June 11. Sony Entertainment, as Deadline reports, hasn't made the official announcement that the Kevin Spacey-led series would even get a DVD release, but according to Amazon, it obviously is.
