The 2019 Artios Awards for Television, Theatre, Short Films and Short Form Series held ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York on January 31, 2019. Nominees and winners are voted on by members in good standing of the Casting Society of America.

The Casting Society of America has released the feature film nominees and hosts for the 34th annual Artios Awards, according to Deadline.

On Wednesday, October 31 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway, all available tickets for the 8:00pm performance of HAMILTON will be sold for $10.

Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and the unforgettable songs of the '70's take center stage in this homage to classic disaster films. A group of New Yorkers attends the opening of a floating casino and discotheque that quickly succumbs to multiple disasters. Additionally, this play keeps with a 1970's theme by being a jukebox musical, using popular songs of the decade as musical numbers. The Casting Society of America (CSA) has unveiled its feature film nominees for the 30th Annual Artios Awards. Final film ballots have been distributed and votes can be entered at http://www.castingsociety.com/, through Monday, January 12th. All winners for film, television, theater and new media categories will be announced at the 30th Annual Artios Awards on January 22, 2015 with award ceremonies to be held simultaneously at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles (reception will commence at 6:00 p.m. PDT) and at 42WEST (formerly XL Nightclub), Cabaret & Lounge (514 West 42nd Street) in New York (reception will commence at 6:00 p.m. EDT).

Berkshire Theatre Group presents James Naughton in the world premiere of Cedars at the Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge. Opening Night is July 26 at 8pm. Preview performances begin on July 23 at 8pm and the production closes August 9 at 8pm.

Following a successful three-week season, an extra performance of It's All Greek To Me has been scheduled for 8pm, Friday, May 23. Typically used to highlight not understanding, the phrase 'it's all Greek to me' now lends itself to the title of a play premiering at the Old Mill Theatre this month. Written by WA playwright Noel O'Neill and directed by Valerie Dragojevic, hilarity turns to disaster in a comedy of errors set in 1960s London when a man makes a promise he cannot keep. Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire have announced the Summer 2014 Theatre Season offering classic works coupled with contemporary plays.

President Barack Obama appointed seven new members of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. They will join 30 other private members appointed by the President and twelve federal representatives, whose agencies have cultural programs such as the National Endowments for the Arts and the Humanities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, U.S. Department of Education, the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, the National Gallery of Art and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Supreme Court with Justice Kagan presiding.

Today, President Obama announced his intent to appoint the following individuals to key Administration posts: Stephanie Cutter - Member, President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities; Caroline "Kim" Taylor - Member, President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities; Margaret Russell - General Trustee, Board of Trustees of the John F.
