The party will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at WaterTower Theatre from 7 pm to midnight. THE COMMUNITY CAST PARTY is designed to attract a wide audience of patrons who are interested in supporting WaterTower Theatre while enjoying an evening of dancing and entertainment with cuisine offered from many fine local restaurants . Attendees will have a unique opportunity to mix and mingle with many artists from the DFW acting community at the 'open house' style event, and everyone is welcome.

The record-breaking UK national tour of 'WEST SIDE STORY' is now entering the final three months of its year-long tour. There are just eight stops left until the tour ends at the Theatre Royal Norwich on 13 September 2014.

Terry Martin, WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director and Derek Blount, President of the Board of Directors, today announced key leadership appointments to a number of important committees: Chairing the annual Spotlight Gala 2015 will be April Bosworth; Co-Chairing a new community fundraising initiative in the fall called The Community Cast Party is April Bosworth, Stan Graner and Debbie Staggs; Co-Chairing another new program called The President's Circle will be Barbara Daseke and Stan Graner, and Co-Chairing The Corporate Council (with Derek Blount) will be Jeff Laceky.

In anticipation of LES MISERABLES coming back home to Broadway, I've been listening to LES MISERABLES LIVE! DREAM THE DREAM (The 2010 Cast Album). The beautiful, exciting, and comprehensive recording was captured at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2009. WestEndFest is back for its first concert of 2014 on 2 March at The Actors Church in Covent Garden. Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group just announced the casting and initial tour schedule for their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA launching a major North American Tour in Providence, R.I. at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America.

The producers of WEST SIDE STORY, playing at Sadler's Wells until 22 September before a nationwide tour, have partnered with the youth charity Leap Confronting Conflict, to run a workshop together for young Londoners exploring the musical's gang and race related conflict issues. Following the success of the workshop, there are now plans to roll out further outreach workshops whilst the musical tours the country during the coming year.

Kansas City Rep's presentation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel, directed by Kyle Hatley, the theatre's associate artistic director, runs now through March 31, 2013. This is the musical theatre event that sparked delight in hearts of audience members and critics alike when it was first presented in 2011 by The Living Room (TLR), one of Kansas City's most imaginative small theatre companies. How does one write about a work of art? Cameron Macintosh's touring production of The Phantom of the Opera is exactly that and brought the house down at the Birmingham Hippodrome last night. The 19th March is apt for the final press night of the current tour as the show is also marking it's 11,000th performance in the West End. That itself shows the incredible draw that Phantom has some 27 years on.
