Applications are open to all musical theatre writers for Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's summer residencies. Nine teams will be hosted for nine consecutive weeks in the Hudson Valley between June 25 and August 27. Each writing team will have a private retreat to focus solely on writing their musical for one week.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host nine weeklong in-person residencies for 23 musical theatre writers of nine new musicals between June 27 and August 29. Writers include Tony-nominee Beth Malone, Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls; Jonathan Larson winners Avi Amon, Sara Cooper, Ty Defoe, and Anna Jacobs and more.

Kathy Evans, Founding Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced that applications are open for the 10th anniversary of hosting retreats for musical theatre writers. There will be nine consecutive weeklong residencies in the Hudson Valley between June 27 and August 29 for nine musical theatre writing teams.

Tony-Nominee and Drama Desk award winner for her performance in COME FROM AWAY, will host Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's fundraiser, Songs of our Summer, taking place live over Zoom on November 12, 2020 at 7:30pm. She'll introduce Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's 2020 writers, who developed 9 new musicals last summer in 'virtual residencies.'

Apples and Oranges Arts in collaboration with the National Alliance for Musical Theatre and Broadway Tech Accelerator present a live, virtual Shark-Tank-style pitch session in which four writing teams from NAMT's Festival of New Musicals present their shows to theatre executives and investors from around the country.
