The Group Rep's production of Neil Simon's classic farce RUMORS, directed by Doug Engalla, produced by Alyson York for the Group Rep, was well received opening weekend. RUMORS centers around five neurotic couples who gather for a dinner party celebrating one couple's 10th anniversary. The best laid plans go wildly awry when guests arrive early only to discover their host has shot himself, the hostess and servants are missing, and dinner not ready. As confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into farcical hilarity. The play opened June 15 and runs through July 29 at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, at the edge of the NoHo Theatre and Arts District.

Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 84th season with Time Stands Still, Donald Margulies' riveting drama. The play is directed by veteran director Ray Yucis, with performances now through March 11, 2017 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

Religious tolerance gets an intra-ethnic twist in the Bergen County Players production of "The Last Night of Ballyhoo." Written by playwright Alfred Uhry, of "Driving Miss Daisy" fame, Ballyhoo won the 1997 Tony Award for best play. This production, directed by Carol Fisher, starts its run on Saturday, October 22, ending on Saturday, November 12. Curtain goes up for Friday and Saturday performances at 8 pm, with Sunday matinees at 2 pm. It will be presented at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell.

On Friday, March 11, Kentwood Players welcomed the multiple Tony Award winning musical "MAN OF LA MANCHA" with Book by Dale Wasserman, Music by Mitch Leigh and Lyrics by Joe Darion to the Westchester Playhouse where performances will continue through April 16. The production is directed by Susan Goldman Weisbarth with Musical Director Mike Walker and Choreographer Drew Fitzsimmons, produced by Margie Bates and Gail Bernardi by special arrangement with Tams Witmark Music Library.
