Megan Hilty reunites with The New York Pops and Music Director and conductor Steven Reineke for two festive, holiday-inspired concerts entitled The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, tonight, December 15 and tomorrow, December 16 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall.

This Weekend we reached out to Richard to fill us in on the event and what attendees can look forward to. We found him in the midst of rehearsals and planning for the event to take place at The Asia Society with cocktails beginning at 6:00 PM and the Award Presentation starting at 8:00 PM.

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, will honor legendary musical theatre writing team Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt (The Fantasticks, I Do! I Do!, 110 in the Shade, Celebration) with the 2017 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre at the 26th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala on Monday evening, December 4, 2017 at The Asia Society (725 Park Avenue).

Judith Clurman, Silas Brown, Essential Voices and Tony & Grammy Award-winning producer Van Dean (Broadway Records) announced today the release of 'Testimony,' a new single written by award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) with proceeds benefiting anti-bullying workshops in New York City Public Schools.

After The New York Pops Season Opening Concert the excitement continued with Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke and guests artists Ali Ewoldt and Matt Doyle at The Pops after party. The concert celebrated the the 35th season and the centennial of the birth of the orchestra's founder Skitch Henderson.

As previously announced, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will ring in the holiday season with a weekend of festive tunes, featuring Broadway and TV sensation Megan Hilty in 'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.' Tickets are now on sale for the concerts at Carnegie Hall!

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Samantha Spade, Ace Detective, a film-noir-detective-story-musical (in black and white), on April 25, 2017 at 7:00pm. Originally written for young people to perform at TADA! The orchestra, the largest independent orchestra in the United States, will begin the second half of their season on Friday, March 10, 2017, with a LIFE IS A CABARET: KANDER & EBB, celebrating the music of the legendary duo, and continuing a season (and organization mission) dedicated to featuring a wide variety of performers, composers, and genres.

On October 27, 2017, The New York Pops - a symphonic orchestra known for presenting popular programs of exceptional quality - will launch its 35th season at Carnegie Hall celebrating the diversity of some of popular music's greatest icons.

It was cold in NYC last night but the warmth of the music created by The New York Pops and guest artists, sisters Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway ,and brothers Will and Anthony Nunziata carried over to the after party across the street from Carnegie Hall.

Music director Steven Reineke will lead the orchestra tonight and tomorrow night at the sold-out holiday concerts of The New York Pops featuring Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway, Will Nunziata and Anthony Nunziata. Judith Clubman will also be conducting Essential Voices USA. BroadwayWorld was at this afternoon's open rehearsal.

The 2016 ASCAP FOUNDATION HONORS were given out last night at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Appel Room last night and BroadwayWorld was there.
