One of this season's most exciting debuts in New York City's cabaret scene is Alex Simmons's weekly Friday night comedy series at Don't Tell Mama, where mainstream club acts and alt-comedians are finding an eager audience.

Journalist turned comic and radio talk show host Maureen Langan brings her critically acclaimed "one-woman tour-de-force," DAUGHTER OF A GARBAGEMAN, to the PIT LOFT, 154 W. 29th St (b/t 6th & 7th), on March 28th through March 30th at 7:30pm.

David Dean Bottrell announced today that he is pleased to bring the newly revised 2019 version of his critically acclaimed One Man show to New York City this February. Partnering with Director Guy Stroman and Producer Akia Squitieri, the show will be presented at the storied Dixon Place Theatre.

Albuquerque Little Theatre presents Kaye Ballard - The Show Goes On . In a special event on Sunday July 29th at 3:00 pm, the biopic of Kaye Ballard - a stage and screen actress who performed with Big Bands, on Broadway, on television, and in movies - will be screened. Ninety-two-year-old Ballard is known for a varied career as an actress and singer, spanning over seventy years. The film, which is presented by Jim Dandy Films, is intended to be a celebration of this incredible actress' life and career. Kaye Ballard - The Show Goes On includes appearances by : Ann Margaret, Joy Behar, Carol Burnett, Carol Channing, Elaine Page, Hal Prince, and many more! The biopic is produced and directed by Dan Wingate, co-produced by Clark Bason, with executive producers Jim Pierson & Hal Wing.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce additional entertainment for Some Enchanted Evening, the 27th Annual Summer Gala in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 7, 2018. The event benefits Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. Due to future restoration of the Long Wharf, this will be the final gala to be held there.

In fact, two theatres were opened for the screening since demand far exceeded the number of seats in the main house. With her typically self-deprecating humor, Ms. Ballard proclaims herself 'The Greatest Star You Hardly Knew', and the beautifully constructed 90 minute film details her extraordinary accomplishments from Broadway's 'Carnival', 'The Golden Apple', 'Molly' and 'Pirates Of Penzance' to her stellar nightclub, film and television career including 'The Doris Day Show' and the beloved and  iconic 'Mother's In Law' with Eve Arden. It highlights the extraordinary talents of Ms. Ballard and doesn't shy away from the disappointments and challenges along the way, featuring interviews with Woody Allen, Carol Channing, Hal Prince, Carol Burnett, Michael Feinstein, Joy Behar and more. I had the chance to visit with Ms. Ballard at her home on 'Kaye Ballard Lane' in Rancho Mirage (the home formerly owned by her friend and TV director, Desi Arnaz) to talk about the film and more.
