CMT Announces NASHVILLE Midseason Premiere on 6/7, Followed by Series-Ending Finale 7/26

Nashville has set the dates for its midseason return, as well as the series finale, according to Deadline. The show will return on June 7, and the finale is set for July 26. Watch the promo video below!

Goodman Theatre welcomes 11 participants for Criticism in a Changing America a two-part program designed to augment early-career journalists' understanding of how plays live in the wider context of contemporary issues. According to Deadline, HBO's sci-fi Westworld has added Neil Jackson and Jonathan Tucker to its Season Two cast.

Jonathan Jackson + Enation will release their fourth studio album Anthems For The Apocalypse, co-produced by Greg Archilla (Matchbox 20, Collective Soul), on July 14, 2017 on their own label, Hilasterion Records (distributed through Sony).

CMT today announced “Nashville” will return for a new season with 16 episodes premiering early next year. In addition, the network revealed a midseason premiere date of Thursday, June 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.  Charles Esten (Deacon) first announced the renewal on Facebook Live on behalf of the entire cast. In the coming weeks, CMT will announce its complete 2017-2018 slate.

Just last night, the Jonathan Larson Grants, given annually to honor emerging composers, lyricists and book writers, were presented to the 2017 recipients: Ben Bonnema, Maggie-Kate Coleman & Erato A. Kremmyda, Ty Defoe & Tidtaya Sinutoke, and Michael R. Jackson. 

Following two weeks of consecutive growth, NASHVILLE ratings on CMT continue to rise and shatter network records. The newest episode aptly entitled “Leap of Faith” attracted more than 2 million viewers pulling a .95 A 18-49, notching an 18% rise in ratings since the season premiere on January 5.
