American Repertory Theater has announced today details about the first three events in the theater's new Behind the Scenes series with the writers, directors, composers, and choreographers who are making work at the A.R.T.

Center Theatre Group's fourth annual Block Party highlights some of the remarkable work being done on other stages throughout Los Angeles by fully producing two previously staged productions.

Center Theatre Group has selected participants for the 2019-2020 L.A. Writers' Workshop, where local playwrights are invited to spend eight months in residence at the company researching and writing new works with the feedback from artistic staff and their fellow writers. The workshop, administrated by Center Theatre Group's Artistic Department, is designed to foster new voices, inspire playwrights to create their best work, encourage bold writing and build relationships among local playwrights, Center Theatre Group and the Los Angeles theatre community.

Upon arrival at Windy City Playhouse's flagship venue in Irving Park, audience members are handed an acceptance letter welcoming them to Brown University's class of 2011. Thus begins an intimate journey through the world of THE RECOMMENDATION, written by Jonathan Caren and directed by Jonathan Wilson.  Windy City Playhouse's critically hailed of immersive staging of Michael Frayn's "Noises Off," the side-splitting play-within-a-play, will complete its run on Sunday, May 16 at the Playhouse's Flagship location, 3014 W. Irving Park Rd.

Previews begin Feb. 22, with the press opening scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28 and performances continuing through March 24.

IAMA Theatre Company will present three premieres and forge new partnerships in 2018-19, the company's 11th season.
