The new stage drama Stalking the Bogeymanat New World Stages (340 W. 50th St.) celebrated its official Opening Night yesterday, September 29. Based on the true story of David Holthouse as first told in the Denver Westword newspaper,STALKING THE BOGEYMAN was featured on the popular weekly public radio broadcast 'This American Life' in 2011, which prompted an array of media coverage from national and international outlets including ABC News, '20/20,' the New York Daily News, the LondonDaily Mail and more. Fate intervened during the Monday morning rehearsal when the actor originally cast as Anatoly left the production paving the way for Larry to audition for the lead role on Tuesday morning. Director Des McAnuff (Tony award winner for Big River, Tommy and Jersey Boys) hired Larry and he became Anatoly on Wednesday morning.

The Theatre at Arts Garage in Delray Beach, Florida opens their season with The Longing and the Short of It, written and composed by acclaimed composer/lyricist Daniel Mate, who won the 2013 Kleban Prize for Most Promising Musical Theatre Lyricist. The song-cycle will delight audiences with a series of catchy, thrilling, and unpredictable theatre songs in a variety of musical styles. Opening night is Friday, November 1, 2013 and the production runs through November 24th; Wednesday - Friday 7:30pm ; Saturday & Sunday 2pm.
