Variety is reporting that A STEADY RAIN starring Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman is already looking like a winner. The trade paper reports that industry insiders are 'buzzing' about the whopping $3 million in advance sales solely from the initial pre-sale offer for American Express cardholders. Tickets for the general public are not available until July 25th. The Amex pre-sale launched Saturday.

Gaspard, Frank Gero, Cheryl Wiesenfeld, Jeffrey Sine, Michael Rose and Robert Cole announced today that Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will star together on Broadway in A STEADY RAIN, a critically acclaimed two-character play by Keith Huff. Directed by Tony Award nominee John Crowley, A STEADY RAIN begins previews on Thursday, September 10, 2009 and opens Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) for a strictly limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, December 6, 2009.

Two-time Academy Award winner, Michael Caine, will receive the ShoWest 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event, which will be held March 30-April 2, 2009, in Las Vegas. Caine will be presented with the ShoWest Lifetime Achievement Award at ShoWest's Final Night Banquet and Award Ceremony on Thursday, April 2, at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.

South Coast Repertory today announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Goldfish, a life-affirming comedy about love lost and found written by John Kolvenbach. Commissioned by SCR and directed by Loretta Greco, Goldfish will run from March 15 through April 5, 2009 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available from March 15 through March 19. Opening night is March 20. Rupert Goold directs Michael Gambon, David Bradley, David Walliams and Nick Dunning in Harold Pinter's No Man's Land, at the Duke of York's Theatre. The production is currently booking until 3 January 2009. A Gate Theatre, Dublin production, No Man's Land is presented by Sonia Friedman Productions and Michael Colgan, with design by Giles Cadle, lighting by Neil Austin and sound and music by Adam Cork. Goold's production transfers to London following its opening at the Gate Theatre, Dublin in August.
