Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Women's Division will hold its 65thSpirit of Achievement Luncheon on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at The Rainbow Room in New York City to recognize notable achievements in theatre, writing, philanthropy and medicine. This year's luncheon will raise funds for comprehensive health care for women through cutting-edge research, discovery and teaching, as well as providing specialty care for all women.

 CMA Fest has revealed the lineups for three daytime stages that are free to the public during the four-day festival in June. Chevy Breakout Stage at Walk of Fame Park, Maui Jim Broadway Stage at Bridgestone Plaza and Nashville Acoustic Corner Stage will feature over 110 performances Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9,highlighting fan favorites and rising Country stars daily.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation announced last night that Steve Schirripa is the recipient of the 2019 Garden of Dreams Hero Award. Established in 2009, the Hero Award honors organizations or individuals annually that embody the spirit of the Garden of Dreams Foundation through an active and ongoing dedication to positively impacting the lives of children facing obstacles, while serving as a driving force and inspiration for others. Schirripa received the award as a surprise at the 2019 Garden of Laughs comedy benefit, presented by Delta Air Lines, which took place at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 2, 2019.

On Friday, March 29, 2019, the Long Beach Playhouse kicks off its 29th annual New Works Festival in its Studio Theatre. Founded in 1990, it is a national competition for unproduced plays submitted by novice and veteran playwrights.

The Madison Square Garden Company and the Garden of Dreams Foundation celebrated the 'Decade of Dreams' the 10th annual Garden of Dreams Talent Show last night, April 11, 2016 at Radio City Music Hall. Hosted by MSG Networks' Jill Martin and Al Trautwig, this year's Talent Show celebrated the 10th anniversary of both the foundation and the talent show and showcased more than 22 different performances from 22 Garden of Dreams Foundation partner organizations. Originally staged in 1984, The Importance remains the only musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest to run in London. After a limited run here, the production found a new lease of life in Peterborough two years later under a different title, Born in a Handbag. This recording has been a labour of love with over twenty years in production and is being released by Stage Door Records at the end of this month.
