ROOMS: A Rock Romance Begins Performances 2/27

Van Hill Entertainment and Red Griffin Media will present the Off-Broadway premiere of ROOMS a rock romance, starring Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, with performances beginning Friday, February 27th at New World Stages/Stage 2 (340 West 50th Street). Opening Night is set for Monday March 16th.

Doug Kreeger, currently in rehearsals for the upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of ROOMS a rock romance, will be this week's guest on WGHT Radio's 'Curtain Call' Wednesday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m. 'Curtain Call' covers the NY & NJ theater scene every Wednesday morning on WGHT Radio (1500AM), North Jersey's oldies station. Nominations were presented to ROOMS a rock romance in the following categories: Outstanding Director - Resident Musical, Outstanding Lead Actor - Resident Musical, Outstanding Lead Actress, Resident Musical, the Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical, and Outstanding Resident Musical.

Xanadu's cast joins the creative team of the surprise hit Broadway musical at the Playhouse before embarking on a national tour. Xanadu will have its first performance November 11, 2008 and run through December 31 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

Previews for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) World Premiere production of the new musical SAVED, which were scheduled to begin tonight, Friday, May 9, have been postponed due to a longer than expected tech process. Tonight's 8PM performance has been cancelled and the musical will now begin previews tomorrow evening, Saturday, May 10 at 8PM. (Please note: a matinee performance had not been scheduled for Saturday afternoon.)
