Van Hill Entertainment and Red Griffin Media are proud to announce that the Off-Broadway premiere of ROOMS a rock romance, starring Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, will begin performances on Friday February 27th at New World Stages/Stage 2 (340 West 50th Street). Opening Night is set for Monday March 16th (8 PM). The production hosted a preview concert and BWW was there!.

Doug Kreeger, currently in rehearsals for the upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of ROOMS a rock romance, will be this week's guest on WGHT Radio's 'Curtain Call' Wednesday, February 18 at 9:30 a.m. 'Curtain Call' covers the NY & NJ theater scene every Wednesday morning on WGHT Radio (1500AM), North Jersey's oldies station. Broadway Backwards is a star-studded event featuring songs that even those not familiar with Broadway know and love, with a very unique and memorable twist. Instead of seeing a woman sing the iconic 'As Long As He Needs Me' from Oliver!, if that song were to be featured in Broadway Backwards, you might see someone like Alan Cumming sing it! The event was a benefit for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Manhattan.

Nominations were presented to ROOMS a rock romance in the following categories: Outstanding Director - Resident Musical, Outstanding Lead Actor - Resident Musical, Outstanding Lead Actress, Resident Musical, the Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical, and Outstanding Resident Musical.

On a unusually cloudy day in Southern California, Chris and Shane made their way down I-5 to the La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, CA for the West Coast premiere of XANADU, the musical. The Upright Boys caught up with Broadway alums Elizabeth Stanley and Max von Essen as they prepared to step into the roles of Kira and Sonny.

Directed by McGonnigal and Xanadu's Marty Thomas, 'Broadway Loves the 80's Vol. 4' continued the fun of having those 80's classics performed by Broadway's best! The totally rad host of the past three concerts, Mo Rocca (Spelling Bee, VH1's I Love the 80s) took a break from his round-the-clock political convention coverage, to return for this 4th incarnation.

A Scottish-Jewish Musical? Bring in the Music, Bring in the Kilts

Previews for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) World Premiere production of the new musical SAVED, which were scheduled to begin tonight, Friday, May 9, have been postponed due to a longer than expected tech process. Tonight's 8PM performance has been cancelled and the musical will now begin previews tomorrow evening, Saturday, May 10 at 8PM. (Please note: a matinee performance had not been scheduled for Saturday afternoon.)

It has been announced that the musical Glory Days, which opened last night at Circle In The Square Theatre, played its last performance.

Andrew C. Call is currently playing the passionate and strong willed Andy in the Broadway cast of fresh talents Nick Blaemire and James Gardiner's new musical 'Glory Days'.
