Tutti Stronzi Productions announces the premiere of Rat Bastards (Tutti Stronzi), a commedia dell'arte style farce about the persecution of Jews and Muslims in Venice during the great plague of 1630, which is being presented as part of the Festival of Jewish Theater and Ideas at Dixon Place, June 3-7.

BWW was invited to cover a very special event with the Canadian Cast of 'Jersey Boys'. This unique musical has proven to be a hit with men, and to further capitalize on that appeal, Dancap Productions ran a special 'Sports Night' where various figures in the Toronto sports community were invited to come and see the show and mingle with the cast afterwards. Today Dancap Productions announces the new cast for the Canadian production of JERSEY BOYS. The new cast includes: Derek Krantz as Bob Gaudio, Jeremy Kushnier continuing in the role of Tommy DeVito, Michael Lomenda as Nick Massi, and Jeff Madden in the role of Frankie Valli, plus Timothy Sell in the role of Gyp DeCarlo and Shawn Wright in the role of Bob Crewe. Performances begin Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Toronto Centre for the Arts (5040 Yonge Street).

Absurdist singer/guitarist Aldo Perez and company will host an evening of clown cabaret. The Renaldo Ensemble is a musical exercise in human ridiculousness and musically flits between bizarre episodes and silly antics.

OUTSIDE INN is a murder mystery that leaps across three continents, including present-day Germany, a small town near the Arizona-Mexican border and Namibia (the former German colony). Paul, a disillusioned German civic engineer unintentionally participates in the death of his boss, a Svengali-like tycoon. Rather than going to the police, Paul runs away to a small town in Arizona. With his mistress Marina by his side, he steals the identity of his former boss and flees across the Mexican border. The husband and wife Paul and Marina leave behind must face a future alone and a past that continues to haunt them. The cast of OUTSIDE INN features Roger Grunwald (KNB-The Musical), Markus Hirnigel (The Hating Pot at BAM), Jenny Lee Mitchell (The Curse of the Mystic Renaldo The) and Karen Sieber (Mack and Mabel and Very Good Eddie at Goodspeed Opera House). The Chicago engagement of Jersey Boys broke the weekly gross house record at the LaSalle Bank Theatre for the second time. The box office took in a total of $1,143,780.04 for the 8-performance week ending November 18, 2007.

The Chicago cast of the hit musical Altar Boyz will host 'An Altar Boyz Christmas,' a one-night-only holiday concert, at 200 East on Chestnut, located in the landmark Seneca Hotel at 200 East Chestnut St. in Chicago, Monday, December 17 at 7PM. This star-studded event will feature cast members from Jersey Boys and Wicked, with all proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
